Reuse of resources from the existing portfolio

The REUP project places the topic of the circular economy at the centre of their considerations. First of all, the draftswomen carefully inspect the house and see which building materials they can incorporate into their design. They move the cast-iron steel structure of the inner courtyard roof to the roof and use it as a communal space. The existing roof serves as lost formwork. Even if the design is rather small-scale in terms of form and function and does not appear fully developed, the project is a refreshing contribution in dealing with the existing building. REUP addresses an important topic for the future and shows how a reuse approach will also change the planning process and architecture.
