Two Story

Extension with a striking silhouette

Two Story extends the existing building with a successful, unagitated, two-storey extension. A silhouette of flat pitched roof gables refers to the courtyard roofing, which enriches the existing building with a communicative atrium. A covered space with central access is created in the centre of the building by removing a staircase core. The atrium thus provides a spatial and communicative enhancement for all residents and users of the building. The load-bearing timber construction is designed coherently using cross-laminated timber in combination with timber frame walls.
